The Science

Most Clinics Draw 20-30cc.
We Draw 120.

PRP is injected directly into the scalp at follicle level. Growth factors, PDGF, VEGF, EGF, IGF, reactivate dormant follicles, extend the active growth phase, improve scalp blood supply, and reduce inflammation. Concentration is what drives results, and concentration comes from volume.

The standard clinical protocol draws 20-30cc of blood. Las Vegas Aesthetics draws 120cc, producing a richer preparation and a stronger biological signal to follicles. If a provider can't tell you their draw volume, that answers the question.

Why Tom

Working With Platelets
Since 1998.

Thomas Pulice, PA-C has been working with platelets since 1998, starting in cardiothoracic surgery with over 5,000 cases before PRP ever entered the aesthetics market.

He's a CBS News and ABC News featured PRP expert, and he uses a full ring block, topical numbing plus 2% lidocaine around the scalp perimeter, for complete anesthesia most patients barely feel.

"Areas where follicles are completely gone won't respond to PRP, and I'll tell you that upfront. This works because we're reactivating what's still there, and drawing enough blood to actually give it a signal worth responding to."

What To Expect

How Results Build

Follicle regeneration takes months, not days. Here's the realistic timeline.

Weeks 1–2
Mild scalp tenderness for 24-48 hours, no significant downtime after
Months 2–3
Follicles reactivate, shedding slows
Months 4–6
Density and shaft thickness increase, most visible improvement
Ongoing
Initial series of 3 sessions spaced 6-8 weeks apart, then maintenance based on response

Common Questions

PRP Hair Restoration FAQ

What is PRP hair restoration and how does it work?

PRP hair restoration uses concentrated growth factors from your own blood to stimulate dormant hair follicles. Injected at follicle level, it reactivates growth, extends the active growth phase, and improves scalp blood supply.

Is PRP still the best non-surgical hair restoration option?

Yes. Despite newer technologies, PRP remains the most clinically validated and extensively studied non-surgical hair restoration treatment available.

Why does blood draw volume matter for PRP?

Concentration is directly tied to draw volume. More blood means more platelets in the final preparation. A standard 20–30cc draw is well below what FullDose PRP™'s 120cc protocol delivers.

Is it painful?

Most patients feel very little during the procedure. Las Vegas Aesthetics uses a full ring block, topical numbing plus 2% lidocaine around the scalp perimeter, for complete anesthesia most clinics skip.

How many sessions do I need?

The standard initial series is 3 sessions spaced 6–8 weeks apart, aligned to the hair growth cycle. Maintenance frequency after that depends on individual response.

Does this work for Ozempic® related hair loss?

Yes. Hair loss associated with GLP-1 medications is typically telogen effluvium, stress-related shedding, and responds well to PRP.

Does this work for both men and women?

Yes. Las Vegas Aesthetics treats male pattern baldness and female diffuse thinning using the same 120cc protocol.

Who isn't a good candidate?

Areas where follicles are completely gone, smooth, slick bald patches with no fine hair, are unlikely to respond. PRP reactivates existing follicles, it doesn't create new ones.

How does this compare to hair transplant surgery?

Hair transplant surgery is the most permanent solution for advanced loss. PRP stimulates existing follicles and works best for early-to-moderate loss, or as a post-transplant optimization protocol.

How much does it cost?

Pricing is based on the full FullDose PRP™ protocol and provided during your free consultation. Financing available. Call or text 725-527-8211.
